FOR BUSINESSES OF 10 TO 200 PEOPLE

AI that actually works
in your business.

We find where AI genuinely saves you time and money, build it into the way you already work, and stay on hand for whatever comes next.

No jargon. No hype. No twelve-month programme.

Rob's work structuring, trialling, measuring and reporting on embedding new AI tools into delivery identified shared best practice and impact across multiple sectors and roles.

Twenty years running technology delivery in regulated industries, for organisations including the Home Office, Lloyds Banking Group, Defra and The Pensions Regulator.

Not a stack of certificates. Accountability for it, on real programmes, with real deadlines.

You know AI matters. Nobody will tell you where to start.

The market is full of people selling AI off the back of a weekend course. Meanwhile your team still rekeys invoices, digs through email for the one attachment that matters, and writes the same quote for the fifteenth time.

Here is the part nobody tells you. Getting an AI to summarise a document is easy, and half the tools you already pay for will do it. The work is everything after that: turning the output into the thing a person actually needs. The report. The email to the client, drafted for you to read and send. The record in the right system, in the right format, without anyone retyping it.

That chain is where the hours are, and it is the part that does not come out of a box. It is what we build.

We run these workflows in our own business every day. Not read about them. Run them.

What this looks like in practice

Two real examples. Unglamorous, and they give hours back every week.

THE WEEKLY WRITE-UP

The report drafts itself, and so do the emails

Meetings, notes and documents go in. A live register of actions, risks and decisions stays up to date on its own. From that register, the weekly report drafts itself, and so do the follow-ups: one for the board, one for the supplier, one for the team, each pitched at the person reading it.

You read everything before it goes. The chain takes away the blank page and the retyping, not the judgement. The summarising is the easy part. The chain from raw input to finished document is the part that saves the day.

Gets back: the best part of a day a week, every week.

THE CONTENT PIPELINE

Marketing that goes out without a marketing person

A pipeline that drafts the content, builds the artwork, and queues the posts across your channels. You review and approve; it does the rest. No agency retainer, no freelancer, no Monday morning hunting for something to say.

Built on the tools you already pay for, so there is nothing new to learn and nothing new to licence.

Gets back: four days a month of production, or the agency invoice you pay instead.

Both of these run in our own business. We are the first user of everything we build.

In an accountancy practice, the same chain reads client records and drafts the query letters and year-end packs for a partner to sign off. In a recruitment business, it reads CVs, puts them into your client format, and drafts the shortlist note for a consultant to check, so your people stay on the phone.

Three ways to work with us

Start small. Most people begin with an assessment and decide from there.

01

Assessment

A short, fixed-price piece of work. We sit with your team, map how the work really flows, and come back with a plain-English view of where AI helps, what it would cost, and what to ignore.

Fixed fee from £3,000

02

Build

We build the chain end to end: reading what comes in, keeping the records straight, and producing the report, the draft email for you to approve, or the filed entry at the other end. Mostly inside the tools you already own. Where you need something of your own, we build it from scratch.

Scoped per piece of work

03

Your AI person

A named, part-time senior lead on retainer. Owns where AI goes next in your business, keeps you on the right side of your data obligations, and answers for it. The role a 40-person firm needs and cannot justify hiring.

A day or two a month, one person, no lock-in.

From £1,500 a month

Why us

Most AI consultants have either built things or run things. Rarely both, and almost never in businesses where getting it wrong carries consequences.

dBU TekWorx is led by Rob Whitaker, who has spent twenty years running technology delivery in regulated industries, and now builds AI tools hands-on, every day.

  • We take data seriously. Two decades in finance, government and pensions. If you hold Cyber Essentials Plus, work with public sector clients, or simply cannot let data leave the UK, that shapes what we build from day one rather than being discovered at the end. In practice that means models hosted in the UK or run inside your own Microsoft 365 tenancy, and nothing sent to a tool you have not approved.

  • We build, not just advise. Working AI workflows and products, shipped solo, start to finish.

  • We ran the AI trials. Led generative AI adoption inside a 3,000-person technology firm, measuring what actually worked.

  • You deal with Rob. No account manager, no junior, no handover.

  • We will tell you when the answer is no. Most of what looks like an AI problem is a process that needs fixing first. We would rather say so and lose the build than sell you one you do not need.

Not sure whether any of this applies to you?

That is exactly what the first conversation is for. Half an hour, no charge, no pitch. You will leave knowing whether there is anything here worth doing, even if the answer is no.
